Thanks to the awesome folks at @keds, my dream of being able to meet you and thanking you for everything you and your music has done for me in my life, finally came true. I still remember it like it was yesterday. On this day, exactly one year ago, I was waking up to a beautiful sunny, Kansas day. I woke up extra early that day because I was too excited to even think about being able to sleep. My mom got home from work and we got straight in the car to head to Wichita. We jammed out to nothing but your songs and my mom actually knew quite a few; I was so impressed! When we got there, we headed directly for the hotel to check in and to clean up a bit and then we were on a bus headed down to the arena! We got there and immediately went to the box office to get our tickets and then to stand in line. The doors were finally opened and we were allowed to go down on the floor and line up where you’re supposed to for meet and greets. Wristbands were handed out to put on and then they were taking us backstage to where Club Red was set up. My mom and I were outside of a red curtain, and I remember being able to hear you talking right on the other side. That’s when I got emotional. I told myself I had to keep it together to at least get a picture without my eyes being all red. Once they opened the curtain to let my mom and I in to see you, I immediately went up to you and hugged you. You gave me one of the best hugs I’d ever had in my life. We took the picture and I told you about my surgery and showed you my tattoos you had inspired and you loved them. Just as we were leaving I saw my mom lean over and say something to you (which I still don’t know what was) and then you called me back in for another hug and told me you’d keep me in your prayers and that you hoped I would be fully healthy again. And you know what? I have been healthy ever since. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done for me and continue to do for others. You’re truly an angel and I love you to the moon and back. Always. Love, Lauren
Happy One Year Anniversary to the second night of the Red Tour in KC! I had the awesome opportunity to meet Mama Swift in VIP! Although I went alone, I still had an awesome night. I showed Mama Swift my Taylor related tattoos and she loved them. She even told me that she may possibly get me the opportunity to meet Taylor, but if she couldn’t get me to meet her, she’d let me get as close to Taylor as I could get: the sound booth. The last 4 pictures are from the sound booth with NO ZOOM. That’s how close she got me. I was probably 3 feet from @taylorswift and @teddysphotos. And just 3 days later I would be meeting Taylor (although I didn’t know yet). Thanks for the awesome memories and opportunities, #RedTour!
